Hail, Adventurer!

I'm glad you have stopped by to check out my blog and the different treasures that can be found here. I write a lot of different things--one of my goals in life is to be the most prolific and versatile writer that I can be. On this blog you will find articles on literature, book reviews, thoughts on teaching and society, and some of my original fiction.

I live in South Carolina where I teach middle school English Language Arts. I also write for The People's Sentinel newspaper.  I live in a house crammed with books, action figures, and one old yet energetic border collie named Izzy, a tyrant of a pit bull named Guinevere, and my wife, author Ariel Paiement.

 I have other hobbies when I'm not writing. I play heavy metal guitar, games like Dungeons and Dragons and Magic: The Gathering, and video games. And naturally, I read, because you can't be a writer without reading lots of books. I also used to make a practice of ignoring the dirty dishes that pile up in my sink, but married life has taught me that that isn't a good idea.
